Senior Construction Professional
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Construction Professional to join our clients team on a major project in the Munster area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a key position on-site, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and delivery are maintained throughout the construction process.
The successful candidate will play a lead role in the technical delivery of the project, working closely with the Project Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and design consultants. Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supporting a team of junior engineers and subcontractors to ensure the smooth delivery of works on site
Carrying out accurate setting out from drawings and surveys, including as-built records
Interpreting and reviewing technical drawings, ensuring works are carried out to specification
Coordinating with subcontractors and trades on a daily basis to ensure efficient site progress
Assisting in the planning and sequencing of site activities to meet programme deadlines
Liaising directly with the client, design team, and consultants where required
Promoting and maintaining the highest standards in health & safety across all site activities
Maintaining quality control throughout construction, ensuring works meet project specifications
Oversighting the ordering and management of materials in line with programme requirements
Ensuring all site records and documentation are kept up to date and in line with company procedures
Requirements:
Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar engineering role within the construction industry
Strong background in building and concrete frame projects
Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders
Proactive and driven, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and delivery
High level of IT literacy including MS Office and relevant engineering software
Strong organisational and time-management skills
