Overview
Social Care Assistant, Residential Service Ballina & Crossmolina, Co Mayo. Western Care Association is hiring to grow and support its team across County Mayo. Western Care - Supporting People to Live Their Lives.
Responsibilities
* Deliver on the vision for the people they are supporting.
* Support individuals to gain valued social roles and participate in meaningful creative activities through developing appropriate supports.
* Advocate on behalf of individuals regarding needs and preferences and support the development of their Individual Plans.
Qualifications and Requirements
* No minimum level required for Social Care Assistant positions.
* Experience in facilitating and supporting people with high and/or complex needs.
* Genuine understanding and interest in working with people to effect positive opportunities and change meaningfully.
* Ability to listen, observe, and respectfully advocate for individuals’ needs, preferences, rights, and dreams.
* Excellent communication skills and teamwork with motivation to deliver high-quality facilitation with individuals, families, and other disciplines.
* Strong belief in rights, inclusion, and equality.
* Flexibility to respond to service demands.
* Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations is essential.
* Good IT knowledge preferred.
Other Requirements
* Full driver's license is essential.
* All applications are subject to Garda Vetting and references.
* Non-EU applicants must provide work authorization to work in Ireland.
* Overseas Police Clearance if lived outside ROI/Northern Ireland for more than 6 months since age 18.
Salary and Benefits
* Salary Scale: €31,278 to €43,407 per annum (Scale Range).
* Based on full-time hours (39 hours per week).
