Role Description

This is a fully remote position Medical Advisor role based in Dublin. The Medical Advisor will be responsible for providing medical expertise to support the strategic needs of the organization. Key tasks include contributing to medical education programs, overseeing medical research initiatives, and supporting market access processes. The advisor will also provide guidance on medical affairs, ensuring that the company's services align with the highest scientific and clinical standards.

As Medical Advisor, you will provide professional medical guidance to support the safe and compliant delivery of phlebotomy services. This is a
non-patient-facing, advisory role
, suitable for a medical professional seeking flexible, remote work alongside other commitments.

Qualifications

* Registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
* Eligibility to practise medicine in Ireland
* Strong understanding of
clinical governance and patient safety
* Knowledge of healthcare regulation in Ireland (including HIQA standards where applicable)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently in a remote advisory capacity

Tasks

* Provide clinical oversight and medical advice related to phlebotomy services
* Review and advise on clinical policies, SOPs, and patient pathways
* Support compliance with relevant Irish healthcare regulations and best practice
* Review and approve tests requests.
* Advise on clinical risk management, incident review, and escalation protocols
* Support quality assurance, audit processes, and continuous improvement
* Provide guidance on staff clinical competence, training, and scope of practice
* Act as a medical point of reference for complex or escalated clinical queries

Desirable

* Experience in primary care, diagnostics, pathology, or private healthcare
* Familiarity with phlebotomy services and blood collection standards
* Experience supporting private clinics or healthcare startups
* Understanding of GDPR and medical data governance
* Spanish speaker is a plus.
