Senior Quantity Surveyor A well-established water and civil engineering contractor based in Clonmel, Co.
Tipperary is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects across the South-East of Ireland, with regular travel to sites required.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment, pipelines, and general civil engineering works.
Role: Manage all commercial aspects of civil and water infrastructure projects from inception through to final account.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
Conduct site measurements and valuations.
Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and accounts.
Monitor project costs, variations, and cash flow to ensure financial performance targets are met.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure effective project delivery.
Prepare and present commercial reports to senior management.
Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
5+ years experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civil engineering or water infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of contract forms and commercial management.
Proven experience managing subcontractors and project costs.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Proficient in MS Office; experience with QS software an advantage.
Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the South-East.
Package: Salary circa €80k€90k (DOE).
Company vehicle or travel allowance.
