Retail Sales Manager – Jewellery Store
Location: Martin Gear Jewellers, 5 Mary Street, Dublin City Centre
Martin Gear Jewellers is seeking an experienced and highly professional Retail Sales Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in our busy central Dublin wedding ring and fine jewellery store. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership abilities, and a proven background in the jewellery industry. We require an individual with verifiable references who can deliver exceptional customer service and maintain smooth store operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily retail operations to ensure an efficient, professional, and customer-focused environment
* Provide expert customer service, including in-person sales support for wedding rings and fine jewellery
* Handle phone and email enquiries promptly and professionally
* Oversee stock control: placing stock orders, monitoring inventory, and ensuring accurate record-keeping
* Maintain a well-organised work schedule and structured workflow throughout the day
* Assist with staff scheduling, rotas, and appointment management
* Ensure showroom presentation, product displays, and merchandising standards are consistently maintained
* Support and guide team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding service
* Implement retail best practices and store procedures to enhance performance and efficiency
* Use Microsoft Office 365 applications effectively for administrative and reporting tasks
Required Experience & Skills
* 10+ years of retail management experience (jewellery industry experience strongly preferred)
* Strong leadership and people-management skills
* Proven ability to work in a high-end retail environment
* Excellent communication and customer-service abilities
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage operations, scheduling, and workflow independently
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including:
* Outlook
* Word
* Excel
* PowerPoint
* OneDrive
* Teams
* Strong sales skills with the ability to engage, advise, and guide customers confidently
* Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of providing verifiable references
