he Team and Role:
The Warranty Parts Planner is responsible for planning, procuring, and managing the inventory of electronic parts needed for warranty claims and repairs. This role ensures the right parts are available when needed, improving repair turnaround times and minimizing downtime. The planner collaborates with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and warranty teams to optimize processes and ensure cost-effective management of warranty parts.
This role is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of warranty claims. By ensuring the availability of the correct parts for repairs, the Warranty Parts Planner helps maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

* Maintain and optimize inventory levels of parts for warranty repairs and claims, balancing availability with cost efficiency.
* Ensure accurate tracking of parts used in warranty repairs, reducing stockouts and excess inventory.
* Set reorder points, manage lead times, and coordinate parts availability based on warranty claim volumes.
* Analyze historical warranty data to forecast future demand for parts based on product failure rates, seasonal trends, and customer usage patterns.
* Work with the warranty and service teams to understand trends in claims and the types of parts likely to be required.
* Adjust inventory levels and procurement strategies to meet demand while minimizing overstocking.
* Work closely with the warranty claims team to ensure parts are available for timely processing of warranty repairs.
* Monitor and expedite orders for critical parts needed to resolve urgent or high-priority warranty claims.
* Track parts used for warranty repairs and ensure compliance with warranty policies.
* Analyze and report on parts usage for warranty repairs, inventory levels, and potential supply chain issues.
* Provide management with regular updates on warranty parts stock status, backorders, and inventory forecasting accuracy.
* Identify trends, such as recurring failures or quality issues, and recommend actions to improve processes.
* Ensure that all parts used for warranty repairs meet industry standards, certifications, and internal quality control processes.
* Collaborate with the quality control team to address any recurring quality issues with parts supplied for warranty claims.
* Ensure compliance with warranty terms, regulatory requirements, and industry standards for electronic components.
* Work with engineering, customer service, and product development teams to understand new product designs, failure rates, and warranty needs.
* Coordinate with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure warranty parts are stored and handled correctly.
* Provide regular updates to senior management regarding warranty parts performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
* Continuously improve processes related to parts planning, inventory management, and warranty claim handling.
* Propose and implement strategies to reduce parts lead times, improve order accuracy, and optimize inventory levels.
* Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance warranty parts planning.
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Electronics Engineering, or related fields.
* Experience: 2-5 years of experience in spare parts planning, warranty management, or inventory management, preferably in the electronics industry.
* Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electronics components, product lifecycles, and failure rates specific to electronic products.
* Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), warranty management systems, and advanced Excel skills.
* Analytical Skills: Strong ability to forecast demand, analyze data, and solve supply chain challenges.
* Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external partners
* Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex inventories, warranty parts tracking, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS, ISM) or related certifications.
* Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for inventory and process optimization.
* Experience with electronics warranty claims processes and repair operations.
