* Our client is a well-established main contractor specializing in residential developments. They are aprivate residential developer building transformational neighbourhoods and affordable, quality homes for people and communities across Ireland. They are now looking for a Health & Safety Officer with residential experience.
About Your New Job as a Health & Safety Officer;
* As the Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring site-specific Health & Safety plans are effectively implemented and monitored.
* Keep detailed records of inspection results and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain high safety standards.
* Organise, attend, and chair safety meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment on safety practices.
* Offer ongoing Health & Safety training and support to staff and subcontractors.
* Report and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring appropriate follow-up and preventative measures.
* Work closely with site managers and maintenance teams to ensure all equipment is safe to operate.
* Keep accurate records of all safety documentation, inspections, and audits.
* Ensure adherence to Health & Safety legislation and company policies in accordance with Health & Safety Authority requirements.
What Skills You Need for this H&S Officer job;
* Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field, recognised by the Health & Safety Authority.
* Previous experience as a Health & Safety Officer in the construction industry, preferably with a Main Contractor on residential developments.
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety regulations.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
* Must have a full clean driving licence and access to a car.
