SACRED HEART FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE has been in operation for the past 18+ years, providing universal and targeted family supports including quality affordable childcare, one to one and group work, social prescribing and personal development initiatives. Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and families? Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre is seeking dedicated individuals to join our expanding childcare service team in Tiptoes Community Childcare Centre. Childcare Lead Educator(40hrs per week) Minimum Requirements: Minimum QQI /FETAC Level 7 qualification in Early Childhood Care & Education Two years Experience working in Early childhood Care and Education sector. Experience in a supervisory role Child-centred focus with knowledge of Early Years regulations and quality frameworks (Siolta and Aistear) Commitment to health and safety standards Strong interpersonal and communication skills including Fluent English Speaker Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility and effective prioritization skills Deadline for Applications: Wednesday the 01st of October @ 1pm.Interviews will take place the week of the 06th of October (Onsite). Duties include but not limited to: Be responsible for the daily running of the childcare room including but not limited to reviewing daily programs, observations, staff performance and administration duties. To provide a safe and stimulating environment in the childcare facility. To actively participate in the encouragement, learning and discovery of the childrens play experiences. To involve the children in a variety of play activities and experiences that encourages their development, and sense of identity. To see each child as an individual and support their individual development. To ensure the environment is kept reasonably tidy and free from obstructions. Ensure the childcare room operates within the crche policies and procedures along with ratio, legislation & any regulations requirements. Ensure any reporting requirements are monitored, maintained and completed on time. Ability to keep an organized system in the childcare room including paperwork, staff duties, queries, childrens daily records and observations Adhere to and implement Quality Management Procedures, TUSLA Pre-School Regulations Implementation of Tuslas Quality and Regulatory Framework, Solta (Quality Framework) and Aistear (Curriculum Framework). Understanding of the importance of the emergent curriculum, play-based learning and child-directed learning. Provide guidance in relation to completion of documentation by staff, in line with requirements and best practice guidelines. maintaining hygiene/cleaning standards of the room and centre. To undertake training and CPD as required To participate in whole organisation events and development To adhere to all health & safety policies and procedures Other duties as may be deemed necessary by the Manager.
