Key Responsibilities
As a creative digital media officer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our public engagement strategy through innovative visual and written content. This involves collaborating with staff and youth councils to craft compelling stories that amplify the voices of care-experienced children and young people.
Some key responsibilities include:
* Developing engaging content for social media platforms that effectively communicates our mission, values, and work areas.
* Supporting the development and implementation of digital content strategies and campaigns for diverse audiences.
* Maintaining and scheduling recurring and evergreen content across our channels.
* Creating high-quality content for our website, newsletter, and publications, ensuring brand consistency and accessibility.
* Monitoring performance and optimising content strategies using analytics data.
* Collaborating with youth councils to create authentic, youth-led content.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A third-level qualification in a relevant field such as communications, content creation, media production, or a related discipline.
* Proven ability to create engaging, purpose-driven content in various formats and tones.
* Experience producing short-form video content for social media.
* Solid knowledge of current trends in digital storytelling, social media engagement, and accessible design.
* Proficiency with content creation tools such as Canva.
* Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
* Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and handle multiple projects with competing deadlines.
* Strong interest in driving social change and amplifying youth voices.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary scale commencing at €40,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you will have access to:
* Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per annum.
* Participation in the company pension scheme, matched by a 5% employer contribution on completion of the probationary period.
* A flexible working arrangement, allowing for office-based work and some remote work within the working hours of the organisation.

This is a 1-year fixed-term post, subject to funding extension. You will also have the opportunity to undertake training on Children First (Tusla e-learning programme) and abide by EPIC's policies on child protection and welfare. All roles within EPIC are subject to Garda Vetting.
