Job Description
Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the store€,,s fresh food departments operate efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offering at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have/be
* 2 years€,, experience in a Fresh Food Department is desirable
* 1 years€,, experience in a Supervisor/Manager role is desirable
* Excellent communication skills
* Good delegation skills
* An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
* Passion for fresh food.
Main duties:
* Actively live Centra brand-values i.e. Proud, Energetic, Imaginative and Community-Based
* Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the fresh departments by prioritising and delegating the workload appropriately
* Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager
* Control stocktaking and overheads as per fresh budget
* Foster good working relationships among the team
* Hold regular fresh food meetings and communicate relevant details and results to the team
* Manage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition and encouragement
* Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy
* Manage employee rostering and annual leave for fresh departments
* Ensure merchandising and presentation of the fresh department is of the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines.
