We are recruiting for a leading high quality boutique textile company in Dublin, who are looking to hire a Supply Chain Manager for their Ireland business.The business's success has been underpinned by its market-leading brand and product range. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious experienced Supply Chain professional to join the Supply Chain team as Manager. This role has a broad remit and close working relationships across all business areas. While it involves planning, organizing, and carrying out large-scale projects, there is scope for it to improve the supply chain system and its team.Responsibilities:The primary responsibilities will include the development, implementation, and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve and support the business and the supply chain activity. The role demands the proactive identification of potential development to ensure internal guidelines and procedures, and the design of robust control strategies and quality relationships.This role will be broad and will contain all planning and supply chain activity, as outlined below:Leadership, development and mentoring of the End-to-End Demand and Supply Planning teamProactively own the development of optimised inventory planning and implementation of safety stocks to support the business across all categories, channels, markets, and business streamsHands-on approach to the implementation of industry-standard best practices across the supply chain planning function, through the ongoing improvement of inventory planning positioning for the business and removing the need for extensive manual processesImplementation of MRP for finished goods and support the extended operations teams in implanting MRP at the factoriesDrive the scheduling of FG production at the supply base, aligned with forecasting requirements and capacity planning at the factories, to ensure optimised availability at global distribution warehousesIdentify targets and KPIs for supply chain planning and work to support their developmentSupport the procurement function in developing and monitoring of supplier management protocols and control structures across the businessDeveloping and implementing supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and optimise the end-to-end supply chainApplicants must have the following:A valid visa or passport to work in Ireland is essential – sponsorship is not offeredStrong industry background in both supply and demand planning is essentialHands-on people management and development experience is necessaryA degree in supply chain, business or planning discipline is requiredProficiency in supply and demand planning best practices, preferably in a textile related industryContinuous improvement mindset with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex data into actionable tactical insights connected with strategic goalsPro-active approach to new technologies, systems and processes to drive the function forwardKnowledge of manufacturing is an advantageExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional and senior management, as requiredAbility to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising qualityDeveloping and implementing supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
