Health & Safety Advisor Arkil Ltd and Arkil (Fantane) Ltd Overview: The Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for leading the strategic and operational management of Health & Safety across all divisions of Arkil Ltd and Arkil (Fantane) Ltd. This role ensures full regulatory compliance, drives continuous improvement in safety performance, and champions a proactive safety culture throughout both organisations. The role covers all seven distinct business units: Kildare Quarry, Kildare Contracts, Cork Quarry, Cork Contracts, Fantane & Latteragh Quarries, Fantane Contracts, and Kerry Quarry. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and standards across all operations. Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide H&S policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks. Lead internal audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring timely corrective actions. Promote a strong safety culture through training, engagement, and leadership at all levels. Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors. Report regularly to senior leadership on compliance status, risk trends, and cultural initiatives. Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Groups ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System accreditations. Qualifications: Proven experience in a senior Health & Safety role, preferably in a multi-site or group environment. Strong knowledge of relevant H&S legislation and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Relevant professional certifications in Health & Safety.
