Strategic Financial Advisor
The role of a Strategic Financial Advisor is crucial in providing financial insight and support to business units, enabling informed decision-making across the organization. This position serves as a key advisor, partnering with directors, heads of departments, and committees to align budgets with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with stakeholders to understand financial needs and develop targeted solutions
* Provide expert financial guidance on projects, policy initiatives, and strategic decisions
* Develop comprehensive business cases for new initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments
Financial Planning and Analysis
* Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating with assigned departments
* Liaise with departments on procurement processes and business requirement documents
* Monitor financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying and investigating variances
Analysis and Reporting
* Analyze key financial and operational performance indicators to inform decision-making
* Prepare tailored financial reports, dashboards, and insights for internal and external stakeholders
* Support external audit processes and regulatory compliance as required
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified accountant (ACA/CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a professional membership body or education sector
