Responsibilities As General Manager, AI you will ensure the success of the business, serving as the single accountable owner for the business P&L.
You will work closely with executive and senior leadership, analyze market opportunities, and build and test new offerings with clients, using initial feedback to quickly achieve product‑market fit.
In the first week, you will: Onboard and integrate into Toptal.
Learn Toptal's business model, value proposition, and story.
Shadow critical teams across the organization.
In the first month, you will: Understand our go‑to‑market model for SMB and Enterprise.
Research market and industry opportunities and form a hypothesis for business positioning.
Partner with Marketing to validate the market opportunity.
Build an initial GTM strategy and iterate based on client feedback.
In the first three months, you will: Partner with senior leadership, new businesses, marketing, and talent operations to develop a launch strategy.
Start executing the GTM strategy with support from legal, finance, and others.
In the first six months, you will: Assess progress against milestones, refine roadmaps, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Integrate and scale AI solutions across the client organization.
In the first year, you will: Expand Toptal's reach into key industry subsectors through AI tools and products.
Scale infrastructure, optimize processes, and systems.
Achieve product‑market fit and realize the core business.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.10+ years of experience driving and managing a business; 3+ years with P&L ownership.
Experience in professional services or business growth.
Demonstrated success in building and launching new business or product from scratch.
Tech or hyper‑growth company experience preferred.
Management consulting or investment banking experience preferred.
Leadership experience with business results in a fast‑paced, multi‑function environment.
Strong relationship development and leadership skills.
Experience with marketing technology and automation.
Experience establishing high‑impact, revenue‑generating commercial relationships.
Analytical ability and success in ambiguous projects.
