About Golf Ireland
Golf Ireland is the single governing body for golf on the island of Ireland, established in January **** it is responsible for leading, growing and supporting the game of golf.
The primary functions of Golf Ireland include the administration of Championships and Inter-Club events, the administration of the World Handicap System and the Rules of Golf and Amateur Status, the delivery of a world-class high-performance programme, contesting and hosting international fixtures, supporting clubs and growing the game.
Principal Responsibilities
Ensure the regional office runs smoothly, including cover during staff absences.
Maintain regional contact databases and manage general email and phone enquiries.
Track key dates, deadlines, and reminders for events, meetings, and competitions.
Prepare and circulate meeting papers and support reporting and communications.
Liaise with HQ, clubs, volunteers, and staff to coordinate administrative requests.
Manage office stock, venues, and logistics for meetings and events.
Coordinate seminars, workshops, and Club Rules Nights, including registrations and promotion.
Manage medals, trophies, cups, and awards, including distribution, returns, and engraving.
Provide general administrative support across regional operations and championships.
Oversee general office administration, sustainability, and office upkeep.
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
Minimum of 4 years proven experience in office administration.
Strong IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and office management software (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, or similar tools).
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational, time management and multitasking abilities.
Experience in data processing.
Discretion with confidential Information.
Desirable
Knowledge of golf.
Experience of working with volunteers.

Terms And Conditions
This is a permanent part-time role reporting to Golf Ireland's Regional Manager (Connacht), and will be based at Golf Ireland Regional Office, Breaffy Business Centre, Castlebar, Co.
Mayo.
