With a reputation for operational excellence and customer service, they support businesses across the UK and beyond with a modern, compliant fleet and a strong local branch network.The RoleThe Branch Manager will be responsible for the leadership and performance of a busy commercial vehicle hire branch. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of both the operational and commercial aspects of the branch, driving revenue growth, ensuring high levels of customer service, and maintaining compliance with group and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the branch team to deliver financial, operational, and service targetsOversee day-to-day operations including fleet utilisation, vehicle maintenance, and availabilityManage branch budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance to ensure profitabilityImplement business development activities to increase revenue and market shareBuild and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliersEnsure compliance with health and safety, legal, and vehicle regulatory requirementsRecruit, train, and develop staff to promote a high-performing and safety-focused cultureReport on performance, market trends, and opportunities for improvementWork closely with regional and group teams to deliver consistent standards and support wider business objectivesCandidate RequirementsProven management experience within vehicle hire, rental, leasing, or a related automotive/transport sectorStrong leadership skills with a track record of developing and motivating teamsCommercially aware with demonstrable experience in P&L responsibility and business growthExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsKnowledge of fleet operations, vehicle compliance, and industry regulationsStrong decision-making and problem-solving abilityFull UK driving licenceOther/Benefits25 days holiday, plus bank holidays and BirthdayIncreasing holiday entitlement for long service (capped at 30 days)Company pensionGroup life assurance scheme, plus access health & wellbeing services and employee discount perksContinuous technical training and developmentFree onsite parkingEmbracing diversity in all its forms, our client is an equal opportunity employer.
