The current salary scale for the position is €59,417 minimum of the scale to €77,243 maximum of the scale inclusive of LSIs.
Job Description
Reporting to a Regional Coordinator, the LAWPRO Funding Lead (Grade VII) will lead the devising, coordination, and oversight of LAWPRO’s community funding schemes. This includes capacity building of staff and collaboration with LAWPRO’s external partners and stakeholders, including community and voluntary organizations focused on water quality projects and initiatives. The funding lead will develop strategic funding relationships for LAWPRO.
The Community Funding Lead will also be an active member of LAWPRO’s Communities Team, working collaboratively with the Catchment Science and Administration Teams and other agencies as required.
Key Tasks:
* Advise on the development of LAWPRO’s work programmes, community funding schemes, and identify new funding opportunities.
* Lead the internal Funding Working Group to develop and implement LAWPRO funding schemes with the agreement of the Senior Management Team.
* Ensure good governance through coordination of evaluation processes, assessing applications impartially.
* Manage timely fund drawdown and project delivery, ensuring value for money and compliance with policies.
* Prepare funding reports for senior management, oversight committees, and relevant bodies.
* Assess the impact of funding schemes on water quality outcomes.
* Coordinate and administer funding schemes to ensure effective operation and compliance.
* Review and revise funding guidelines and provide analytical reports.
* Develop relationships with other public funding bodies in climate action and biodiversity sectors.
* Create a LAWPRO Funding Strategy to secure funding sources and foster partnerships.
* Identify and promote new funding sources, including EU and private sector funds.
* Develop links with LEADER companies to promote water-related projects.
* Research opportunities under national funding calls to support water action initiatives.
* Disseminate information on water-related funding opportunities.
* Represent LAWPRO at events and perform other duties as required.
* Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.
The LAWPRO Funding Lead will be employed by Kilkenny County Council or appointed via secondment where appropriate.
