Senior Mechanical Engineer 60000- 75,000 DOE | Hybrid (Ireland) A well-established engineering consultancy based in Cork City is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team.
The role offers hybrid working and exposure to a wide range of high-profile projects across various sectors, including industrial, retail, hotel & leisure, commercial, residential, medical, and educational.
Projects range in scale from minor works to multi-million-euro developments, ensuring no two days are the same.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage mechanical design and building services strategies across varied project types.
Oversee project performance, quality, and client satisfaction across the mechanical function.
Deliver mechanical designs across sectors such as industrial, commercial, residential, retail, healthcare, and education.
Conduct and manage site visits, technical assessments, and performance inspections.
Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, specifications, and reports.
Coordinate with internal teams and liaise with suppliers and contractors on technical matters.
Support the preparation of budgets, tenders, and pricing documentation.
Maintain strong client communication, ensuring alignment from concept to completion.
Represent the company at client meetings, surveys, and technical presentations.
Mentor junior engineers, offering technical guidance and promoting internal development.
Requirements: Level 7 or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years experience in a mechanical engineering or building services role.
Proven background in design for building services and mechanical systems.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and mechanical systems design software.
Excellent technical, communication, and project coordination skills.
Full Irish driving licence essential.
Chartered or working towards Chartership (support provided).
