Research Officer
We are seeking a skilled Research Officer to join our team, focusing on managing research communication, patient and public involvement, and supporting the Head of Research. This role involves creating accessible content, communicating with stakeholders, and staying up-to-date with national and international research.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Patient and Public Involvement: Organise and facilitate PPI workshops, meetings with researchers, and maintain engagement within the charity.
* Accessible Content Creation: Produce high-quality, engaging content on EB research for non-scientific audiences.
* Communication: Foster relationships with stakeholders, including researchers, healthcare professionals, people living with EB, and other organisations.
* Research Oversight: Manage and maintain the research section of our website, create regular social media content, and oversee funding schemes and projects.
* Data Collection: Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection, literature reviews, and produce research reports.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Degree-level qualification in a science field (minimum).
* A Master's or at least two years of experience in health research.
* Good knowledge of the health research environment.
* Experience in digital communications and social media.
* Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to make complex topics accessible.
* Exceptional project management and computer skills, with excellent attention to detail.
