Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work within and assist the commercial and construction team to ensure successful project delivery. Your role involves maintaining relationships to maximize commercial returns and manage risks.

Key Responsibilities
1. Familiarity with the functionality of industrial piping and electrical systems.
2. Evaluating and agreeing on project scope variations with contractors and clients.
3. Compiling and agreeing on final accounts.
4. Reporting to the Project Commercial Team.
5. Supporting the SQS & MQS commercial functions, including preparing tenders, analyzing, selecting subcontractors, negotiating, and managing subcontractor orders to final account completion.
6. Maintaining site records and document control.
7. Recording site measurements.
8. Assisting in preparing forecasts, targets, and CV reconciliations.
9. Preparing valuations and variations with proper records and details.
10. Updating projected Final Accounts and submitting them timely.
11. Liaising with and influencing the site management team commercially.
12. Protecting JSS’s commercial and contractual entitlements.
13. Participating in CVR processes with an independent perspective.
14. Reviewing risks and opportunities.
15. Developing understanding of insurances and warranties.
16. Ensuring good cash management practices.
17. Supporting tender processes as required.
18. Managing and overseeing AQS & TQS, ensuring quality work.
19. Maintaining site records and control documents.
20. Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication skills.
21. Utilizing various technology platforms effectively.
22. Being fully familiar with the Standard Method of Measurement.
23. Displaying ownership and commercial awareness.
24. Exhibiting effective time management, organization, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
25. Holding a degree and working towards relevant professional accreditation.
26. Understanding JCT contracts, report writing, negotiation, CVRs, safety, and commercial appreciation.
27. Possessing knowledge of CIOB standards.
