Job Title: Financial Specialist
We are seeking a qualified Financial Specialist to join our team on a maternity leave contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong accounting experience in the construction sector.
About the Role:
* Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable and bank reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Ensure full compliance with tax obligations, particularly RCT, VAT, and PAYE.
* Oversee subcontractor payments and submit RCT returns.
* Support project managers with cost reporting and budget tracking.
* Assist with year-end accounts and audits.
* Maintain accurate financial records and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements:
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.
* Strong working knowledge of RCT and subcontractor compliance.
* Familiarity with Irish tax legislation.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
* High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
