Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced HVAC Technician to join a site-based facilities team. The ideal candidate will have a strong trade background and hands-on experience with planned preventive maintenance, system repairs, and troubleshooting in a commercial or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance on plumbing and building services systems.
* Respond to reactive maintenance requests and perform timely repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
* Meet service standards and support emergency breakdown response when required.
* Ensure all safety, quality, and environmental standards are followed before commencing work.
* Perform general maintenance and handyman tasks as needed.
* Identify, specify, and order materials required for maintenance and ensure adequate stock of key spare parts.
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, providing effective solutions for all required repairs.
* Communicate daily with management, helpdesk, and clients to provide progress updates.
* Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring full compliance with health and safety requirements and site procedures.
* Actively contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives within the maintenance team.
* Collaborate with other trades on multidisciplinary projects as required.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times.
Candidate Profile:
* Fully qualified plumber AND/or pipefitter with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
* Proficient in developing and working to risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.
* Previous experience with HVAC maintenance.
* Up-to-date health and safety training.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Capable of completing reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
* Professional appearance and conduct within client premises.
* Enthusiastic, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
* Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, are an advantage
