Department Manager
Our client, an iconic retail department store, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Department Manager to join their leadership team in Dublin City. As Department Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring a team of managers and sales colleagues to consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for driving performance, upholding visual and operational excellence, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence across your department.
Key responsibilities:
1. Consistently uphold and execute high commercial and operational standards in line with the overall company strategy.
2. Actively monitor product performance and implement strategic sales initiatives to meet and exceed key performance indicators.
3. Foster an open and inclusive environment where team members feel empowered to share feedback, address challenges and contribute ideas.
4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of promotional campaigns and effectively drive sales, brand standards, and customer engagement.
5. Collaborate closely with the buying and senior leadership teams to analyse product performance and contribute to merchandise planning and success.
6. Take initiative in identifying new business opportunities by leveraging floor space, optimising visual merchandising, enhancing product placement.
Experience and skills required:
7. 3+ years of management experience in a customer-focused retail setting
8. Proven leadership skills with a strong track record in people management, team development, and motivation
9. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a confident and collaborative style
10. Commercially focused, with a strong understanding of KPI-driven performance
11. A genuine passion for retail, with an enthusiasm for trends, brand engagement, and delivering an elevated customer experience
