Our client are hiring for a Commercial Sales Manager for their growing business based in Wexford.The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling construction products, materials, equipment, or services to contractors, developers, architects, and project managers. The role focuses on identifying new projects, building strong relationships with key decision‑makers, and ensuring the company is specified and selected for upcoming construction works.Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Sales Manager:Identify and pursue new business opportunities across contractors, developers, architects, and consultants.Track ongoing and upcoming construction projects to position company products/services early in the tender stage.Visit construction sites to meet site managers, engineers, and procurement teams.Promote and demonstrate construction products/equipment to clients and site teams.Prepare quotations, tenders, and technical proposals in coordination with the commercial and technical teams.Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with procurement departments.Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business.Monitor competitor activity, market pricing, and industry trends.Ensure accurate CRM updates, including project pipelines, site visits, and client interactions.Attend industry events, trade shows, CPDs, and networking sessions to build brand presence.Required Skills & Competencies for Commercial Sales Manager roleStrong understanding of construction processes, materials, and project lifecyclesAbility to read or interpret basic drawings, BOQs, and specificationsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong relationship‑building ability with site and office‑based stakeholdersResults‑driven with a proven sales mindsetGood presentation skills for technical and commercial pitchesStrong organisational and time‑management skillsProficiency in CRM systems and MS OfficeQualifications & Experience for the Commercial Sales Manager:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)2–5 years of sales experience in the construction industry (materials, equipment, tools, MEP, civil products, safety gear, etc.)Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a project‑driven environmentExperience dealing with contractors, developers, architects, and procurement teams
