About Your New Job
* Lead the site engineering team, managing and overseeing the progress of the project.
* Supervise subcontractors and ensure they meet project specifications and timelines.
* Assist the Project Manager with site management, coordination, and scheduling.
* Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring work is carried out according to quality standards, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
* Oversee setting out and surveying of the site.
* Collaborate with the design team and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
* Ensure adherence to budgets and project timelines, reporting progress to senior management.
* Maintain high standards of quality control and health & safety practices on-site.
* Prepare and review construction documentation, reports, and progress updates.
* Provide technical support to the project team, managing the flow of information and ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed.
What Skills You Need
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
* Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in site engineering with a strong background in commercial construction projects.
* Proven experience working with an Irish main contractor on large-scale commercial builds.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and quality standards.
* Familiarity with health and safety requirements, as well as relevant industry legislation.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction management software.
* Ability to set and achieve targets under tight deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
