We are seeking a skilled and experienced Relief Chef to join our kitchen team in Shannon.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in controlling and directing food preparation processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency in all dishes.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning to provide a diverse and high-quality offering that meets the highest standards of presentation and taste.
* Supervise and guide kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and mutual respect in the kitchen environment.
Main Objectives:
* To ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety before reaching customers.
* To manage kitchen supplies by planning orders and addressing shortages to minimize waste and optimize resources.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a chef role within a busy food business, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
* A degree in Culinary Science or a related certificate is highly desirable.
* Strong kitchen management skills, ability to delegate tasks, and monitor team performance.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
* Familiarity with relevant computer programs (MS Office, POS).
