Payroll / Accounts Assistant Tullamore, Co. Offaly Permanent Salary: €35,000 - €40,000 Office Based My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Payroll / Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. Candidates will need to have a minimum of three years experience in a similar role and have a good understanding of processing payroll. Experience using Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll would be a distinct advantage Candidates must have a good working knowledge of Excel Key Responsibilities: Manage banking transactions, reconciliations, and supplier payments. Maintain accounting records using Sage (or similar) software. Management of Debtor and Creditor ledgers Raise customer invoices and ensure timely recording of payments received Follow up on overdue accounts and assist in credit control efforts Reconciliation of Purchase Orders placed to Supplier Invoices received and identify any anomalies Identifying and allocating costs to various Departments Conducting monthly supplier statement reconciliations Intercompany reconciliations Posting credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness Prepare financial reports (Income & Expenditure, month-end reconciliations). Assist with year-end accounts and audits Assist with weekly Payroll processing Participate in Revenue filings for PAYE, VAT, RCT obligations Assist with advertising efforts by performing monthly mail merge of company brochure to potential new timber suppliers Updating database with new leads for future contact Assist with social media and raising Company awareness Partake in developing and implementing new organisational policies Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Manage electronic files and documentation Other Ad hoc duties as and when needed Key Skills: BBS/BA in Business and Accounting or similar qualification Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
