Overview
Our client, a global financial services organisation, is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support the delivery of high-volume payments platforms and transaction processing systems used across global markets.
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong coding ability and deep experience building automation solutions for complex distributed systems and payment workflows.
You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure quality across APIs, microservices, and high-throughput financial platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop automation frameworks and test tooling for large-scale payments platforms.
Write production-quality code to support automated testing and system validation.
Build automation across API, integration, and end-to-end payment workflows.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
Validate high-volume transaction processing systems and ensure platform reliability.
Collaborate with engineering teams to embed quality engineering practices across the SDLC.
Required Experience
12+ years in Automation Engineering / SDET roles.
Strong hands-on programming experience in Java or Python.
Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
Deep experience testing APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
Experience integrating automation within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
Experience testing payments platforms, transaction processing systems, or financial services applications.
