We have partnered with one of Ireland's leading chemical manufacturers as they grow their team in Little Island, Cork. This company are a privately owned industrial chemical company providing formulated performance chemicals to the food, beverage, and allied industries throughout Ireland. We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to conduct analysis of the company's products within the environment of a busy production laboratory.
Overview of Main Responsibilities:
1. The work involves chemical and physical methods, titrimetric and colorimetric analyses of products, water, and effluent streams.
2. A key part of the role will be the logging and reporting of results for both internal audits and dissemination to customers.
3. Whilst liaising with production staff you would be reporting to the production manager.
What the ideal candidate looks like:
4. Science or related degree.
5. Must be conscientious and self-organised with an ability to work independently and yet get on well with colleagues.
6. Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems and experience in the chemical industry would be an advantage.
