Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a Michelin Star restaurant and work alongside a team of very talented chefs, including our Michelin Star Executive Chef Richard Picard-Edwards.
This is a full-time position, working 5 days over 7, typically Monday to Friday, with shifts starting at noon and ending after dinner service.
The role involves assisting the Executive Head Chef and Sous Chef in all Food Production areas of the hotel, ensuring menus and food presentation meet the highest standards.
Main duties include:
* Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to a high standard across all hotel food service areas.
* Preparing meat and fish.
* Ensuring all food is stored hygienically, following departmental procedures, especially in cold rooms and fridges.
* Operating machines and cooking equipment safely and responsibly.
* Assisting in creating menu items, recipes, and developing dishes.
* Training and mentoring Commis Chefs.
* Monitoring waste and portion control.
* Being flexible with working stations and demonstrating good teamwork.
