Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Professional
Our client is seeking an ambitious Environmental Health and Safety Professional to join their growing team.
The successful candidate will have 23+ years of experience in an EHS role within construction, manufacturing, engineering, or similar technical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the implementation and ongoing development of our EHS management system across projects.
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure safe working practices.
* Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to project personnel and subcontractors.
* Support incident/near-miss reporting, investigation, and corrective-action processes.
* Ensure appropriate PPE, emergency procedures, and safe-work protocols are maintained on all project sites.
* Monitor environmental controls and ensure adherence to sustainability and waste-management requirements.
* Participate in client meetings, safety forums, and project planning sessions to represent EHS interests.
* Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and reporting logs in line with company requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A strong understanding of EHS legislation, risk management, and compliance requirements.
* Relevant EHS qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent).
* Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and engage site personnel.
* A proactive approach to incident prevention, investigation, and continuous improvement.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
* Full driving license.
