This position is with G&S Stainless Services Ltd. The role forms part of an Innovation Boost project supported by InterTradeIreland. Salary support under the programme is provided for 18 months; however, the employment contract is with G&S Stainless Services Ltd and is not limited to the funding period.
G&S Stainless Services specialises in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of stainless steel vessels, process pipework, structural steelwork, stairs, platforms, and aesthetic steelwork. Serving pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and industrial sectors across Ireland and Northern Ireland, G&S delivers turnkey solutions that combine high-quality fabrication, responsive service, and technical expertise to meet complex client requirements.
Job Description
This new role at G&S Stainless is key to embedding process engineering, controls, and compliance expertise within G&S Stainless, enabling delivery of turnkey, scalable, and technically advanced services for its clients.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Implementing and supporting 3D digital design and prototyping systems.
Applying Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DFMA) to optimise efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
Leading mechanical, process, and instrumentation design, including fluid handling, sensors, controls, and chemical treatment systems.
Developing and documenting service delivery procedures, SOPs, and operational workflows.
Ensuring regulatory compliance, including CE marking under the Machinery Directive, safety standards, and in-house testing.
This role will initially focus on the design and project management of bespoke equipment and associated procedures that will enable G&S Stainless to offer an exciting new service to its growing customer base.
The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Southern Regional College as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.
Interviews will be held approximately week commencing: 11/05/2026.
Essential Criteria
Degree in Process/Mechanical/mechatronics engineering or similar.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a mechanical or process engineering role.
Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland/EU and travel throughout the island of Ireland if required; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Ireland/EU you must upload a copy of it with your application. Failure to provide a relevant Visa/Work permit may result in your application not being considered.
Desirable Criteria
Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent) for equipment and system design.
Knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
Strong understanding of mechanical design, process flow, or equipment fabrication.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing and assembly.
Previous involvement in product design, including process or fluid handling systems.
Familiarity with process engineering, controls integration, and development of service delivery procedures for industrial equipment.
