Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Our client is recruiting for maintenance technicians to support preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Maintenance Technicians will be aligned with designated departments within operations and provide maximum maintenance support at all times.


The successful candidate will assist the facilities team and systems to maximise equipment uptime in accordance with company requirements. Response times to equipment breakdowns are kept to a minimum, ensuring maximum productivity.


Key responsibilities include participating in the reliability-centred maintenance program, assisting the department in achieving world-class M.T.T.R. and M.T.B.F. metrics, implementing and upkeeping manufacturing equipment excellence programs, and promoting an environment of continuous improvement and innovation.


Furthermore, the Maintenance Technician will lead and implement the total asset care program within departments, participate and implement the 5S program within departments and technical services areas, support N.P.D. and N.P.I. projects during development and introduction to the facility, and promote and participate in the technical services continuous improvement process.


Required skills and qualifications include strong electrical and electronic repair and diagnostic skills, experience in pneumatic and hydraulic fault finding and repair, a clear understanding of robotics, experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment, experience with maintenance of vision systems, experience with windows networking, some programming experience, and relevant working knowledge of an FDA regulated industry and GMP requirements.


Desirable skills include previous experience working with a CMMS preferably Maximo within a maintenance environment, minimum 3-5 years experience in an FDA maintenance environment, and experience with label printers and label placement equipment.
