Health, Safety & Compliance Officer
We are seeking a Health, Safety & Compliance Officer to join a leading manufacturing company based near Croom, Co. Limerick.
The Health, Safety & Compliance Officer will play a key role in ensuring that all site activities are carried out in accordance with company, legal, and regulatory standards. Main duties include:
* Implementing and maintaining Health & Safety management systems in line with statutory requirements and company policies;
* Conducting regular site inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement;
* Supporting management and staff through training, guidance, and the promotion of a strong safety culture across all departments;
* Investigating incidents and near misses, preparing reports, and driving corrective and preventive actions;
* Maintaining accurate safety and audit documentation, records, and reports for both internal and external review;
* Assisting in the development and implementation of ISO and other compliance frameworks;
* Collaborating with department heads to review and update standard operating procedures (SOP's) and ensure adherence to best practices.

Criteria
* Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
* Proven experience in health and safety management, ideally within a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment
* Experience conducting internal audits (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, or similar) is essential
* Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and best practices
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills
* Ability to influence, engage, and promote a proactive safety culture across teams
* Confident in using MS Office and safety management systems
