We are seeking a Civils & Structural Lead to help deliver rail infrastructure projects across Ireland. This position offers the chance to influence major schemes while supporting team growth and fostering a positive, inclusive working culture.You will guide engineering delivery from concept to construction, working with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, safe, and sustainable solutions across heavy rail, light rail, and metro projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of civil and structural design for rail projects, covering new build, upgrades, and maintenance works.Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and project partners to achieve efficient and buildable outcomes.Oversee the preparation and review of technical outputs, including drawings, calculations, reports, and BIM models.Engage with clients to understand project drivers and translate these into effective engineering solutions.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, encouraging development and knowledge sharing.Build strong working relationships and contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.Promote innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement in design approaches.Ensure robust technical input across all design stages.Maintain compliance with standards, safety requirements, and project objectives.Support planning, risk management, and quality assurance processes.Help deliver projects successfully to programme and budget.RequirementsDegree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar discipline).Chartered or Incorporated status with a recognised professional body.Proven experience in rail civil engineering or station design.Background acting as CRE, Engineering Manager, or similar role.Familiarity with relevant rail design standards and practices.Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple disciplines.
