Gowan Home, a leading distributor of products and services to the kitchen, electrical and building materials industries in Ireland are seeking to recruit a Key Account Manager for their busy operation in Citywest. We distribute a number of exclusive premium brands including De Dietrich, Elica, Franke, KitchenAid, Ninja, NordMende and Shark.
This role will report to the Kitchen Channel Manager. Working as a member of a busy team, this role carries the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic account management plans that achieve/exceed sales targets. Maximising revenue and volume potential, increasing in-store visibility, growing key product groups and brand share.
* Be accountable for profitability targets by closely managing pricing, negotiating terms, managing product mix and promotions.
* Identify and develop new business sales opportunities.
* Work closely with the Operations team to ensure accurate sales forecasts.
* Feedback trends and opportunities from customer meetings, sales events and key market visits.
* Manage and report on key metrics to track progress and adjust the plan as needed to deliver results.
* Work with finance team to ensure minimum risk and payment terms are met.
Key Attributes:
* Relevant third-level education and/or having significant industry experience.
* Experience within area management or sales role preferable but not essential.
* Excellent communication, time management, organisation and presentation skills.
* Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Versatile, self-motivated and results-driven.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers.
* Strong computer skill, including MS Office Suite applications, sales database etc.
* Full, clean driving licence.
