Senior MEP Building Services Engineer – Dublin

A leading main contractor in Dublin is seeking a Senior MEP / Building Services Engineer to oversee MEP delivery across large-scale residential and commercial developments. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can run MEP packages on site, manage subcontractors, and drive quality through to handover.
Role & Responsibilities
* Take full responsibility for the coordination and delivery of MEP services from design through construction and commissioning.
* Manage MEP subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, specifications, and quality standards.
* Review and coordinate MEP design drawings, technical submittals, and RFIs in conjunction with design teams and consultants.
* Chair and contribute to MEP coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Monitor progress against programme, identify risks early, and implement corrective actions where required.
* Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations, BCAR, fire safety, and health & safety requirements.
* Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover of MEP systems.
* Provide technical support to site management and commercial teams as required.
Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* 8+ years' experience in MEP / Building Services roles, ideally with a main contractor or large M&E contractor.
* Proven experience delivering MEP packages on residential and/or commercial projects.
* Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, BCAR, fire safety, and commissioning processes.
* Confident managing multiple subcontractors and complex interfaces.
* Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
