Function:

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective movement of material through the factory. This role is a key member of the team responsible for delivering all targets & metrics within the assigned areas.

The Role

Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times

Manage the flow of all material from supplier to customer

Ensure inventory accuracy in the factory is maintained above 95%

Develop and maintain systems to ensure stock count and location accuracy factory wide

Develop, maintain and execute cycle count and physical inventory schedules with the Warehouse and production locations

Lead and organize the Warehouse/Shipping Team in a busy and adaptive environment

Collaborate with Production Supervisors and Team Leads to implement a lean strategy with respect to stocking and delivery of inventory.

Manage and level the workload of the team to ensure all tasks are completed within a reasonable agreed timeframe

Conduct performance reviews & regular check ins as per company policy

Lead and develop the Gemba morning meeting program

Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure efficient and accurate movement of material at all times.

Ensure adequate training is provided to all staff

Maintain staff overtime within an agreed level

Lead and manage the development of the operator levels program

Plan and lead inventory cost down and efficiency projects

Develop and maintain systems to ensure labelling accuracy

Develop and maintain systems to ensure correct paperwork accompanies inbound and outbound freight in an agreed timeframe (Working towards a paperless system)

Develop and Maintain Outside processing Management (OPM) systems

Develop and Maintain Consignment Stock (CS) systems

Develop and Maintain KANBAN stock systems

Manage warehouse space efficiently and effectively

Plan and execute stock obsolesce efficiently and effectively

Work together effectively with the wider Lisk Team to ensure timely resolution of issues

Develop, maintain and report on inventory and warehouse KPIs

Provide physical support to operatives during busy periods and during periods of planned or unplanned absence.

Plan, provide data driven justification and seek approval for additional cover as required

Maintain and improve 5S standards within Lisk Ireland

Maintain production consumable stock levels and source suppliers, including adequate stocking and use of manufacturing tools and supplies

Champion Lisk Ireland's Quality policy and assist in developing a customer responsive approach to meeting deadlines

Apply knowledge and skills of processes to facilitate learning and growth within the Warehouse and Production Teams.

Education & Experience:

Minimum of a Level 7 degree in a relevant discipline.

Minimum 3 years of experience working in a relevant role

Minimum 3 years' experience in team planning and organization.

Demonstrative experience in people management and development.

Forklift and Pallet Truck certification is a key requirement (Ongoing certification training will be provided)

Project Management Skills is a key advantage

Six Sigma Black/Green Belt qualification is a key advantage

Experience with similar ERP systems control is a key advantage

Fully motivated to achieve & demonstrate best practices in line with the department objectives.

Excellent analytical skills.

Capable of independent thinking and problem solving

Capable of taking initiative in recognizing corrective actions

Ability to work with minimal supervision

High attention to detail

Strong organizational & time management skills.
