Electrical maintenance technician

We are partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent contract.ResponsibilitiesExecute the site’s electrical preventative maintenance programme to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.Complete assigned work orders in a timely, safe, and compliant manner, adhering strictly to company procedures.Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical and electro‑mechanical systems to minimise downtime.Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance, addressing scheduled tasks and emergency breakdowns efficiently.Test, inspect, and certify completed electrical installations in line with regulatory standards.Work with PLCs and associated systems, carrying out fault finding and basic programming support where required.Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of all on‑site electrical equipment and systems.Accurately complete all work orders, documentation, and maintenance records.Participate in training programmes and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of SOPs and compliance requirements.Adhere to all site Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards at all times.RequirementsAn Electrical Instrumentation qualification (QQI Level 6) or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.Minimum of 3 years’ hands‑on experience as a Maintenance Technician within an industrial environment.Strong technical competency in electrical maintenance and engineering practices.Experience working with machinery, process equipment, controls, and automation systems.Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical installation and maintenance.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.Strong organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.Logical and methodical approach to problem‑solving.For a confidential discussion about the role and the organisation, please contact Emma Barry today.emma.barry@collinsmcnicholas.ie091 70671
