Join our client at a pivotal moment as we establish a newly created HR Business Partner position, reporting directly to our recently appointed Chief People Officer (CPO). The CPO is spearheading the development of a dynamic and forward-thinking HR strategy for the next 12 to 24 months. This is a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to a transformative period, driving impactful projects across key areas such as culture evolution, employee engagement, management development, and the achievement of Bronze accreditation in Diversity & Inclusion. You will also play a key role in the creation of our comprehensive employee handbook. This role offers exceptional variety and the chance to make a tangible difference across the employee lifecycle.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR professional with a proven track record in employee and industrial relations, including experience working with trade unions. Strong project management skills are also essential for success in this multifaceted role.
This hybrid position offers a flexible work arrangement of 3 days in our Ireland-based office, complemented by a 35-hour work week.
* Salary: Competitive range of €70,000 - €90,000 commensurate with experience.
* Pension: Comprehensive scheme commencing after 6 months, featuring a 5% employee contribution and a generous 12% employer contribution, plus additional contributions
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate in the formulation and execution of the overarching HR strategy, aligning people initiatives with business objectives.
* Trusted Advisor and Business Partner: Serve as a credible and knowledgeable advisor to management, providing expert guidance on a wide spectrum of people-related matters.
* Employee Advocate: Act as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, fostering a positive and supportive work environment and championing employee needs.
* Project Leadership: Lead and actively participate in diverse business projects with a significant people agenda, driving impactful outcomes.
* Holistic HR Program Implementation: Implement and manage HR programs aligned with business strategy across talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and diversity and inclusion.
* Proactive Employee & Industrial Relations Management: Expertly navigate employee and industrial relations matters, ensuring adherence to legal requirements, company policies, and best practices.
* Ethical Leadership and Influence: Demonstrate unwavering integrity, strong business ethics, and the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Articulate ideas clearly and persuasively, cultivating strong and collaborative working relationships.
* Coaching and Engagement Driver: Foster a culture of continuous development through coaching and mentoring, and spearhead initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
* Sound Judgment and Analytical Acumen: Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make well-informed and effective decisions.
Experience & Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
* Experience working in a unionised environment is essential
* 5 - 8 years of progressive HR experience in a similar HR Business Partner role.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish employment legislation and contemporary HR best practices.
* Proven experience in managing grievance and disciplinary processes effectively.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
* Comprehensive HR knowledge encompassing relevant theory and practical application across all HR functions.
* Outstanding communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrable ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
* A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with well-developed problem-solving capabilities.
* Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
