Environmental Coordinator is a key role within Tirlan, responsible for enforcing industrial emissions licences and greenhouse gas permits at the Ballyragget site. The successful candidate will manage site environmental requirements, conduct testing schedules, and ensure compliance with conditions set out in the Industrial Emissions licence.
Key responsibilities include:

* Enforcement of industrial emissions licence and greenhouse gas permit on the Ballyragget site and ensuring compliance to same
* Management of site environmental requirements and testing schedule to meet the conditions set out in the Industrial Emissions licence
* Environmental Reporting both internally and externally including annual IEL reporting of Annual Environmental Report (AER)s & Environmental Performance Report (EPR), and annual GHG Reporting of Annual Emissions Monitoring (AEM) & Activity level change (ALC) reporting to the EPA
* Ensuring Legal & Regulatory Compliance with Environmental legislation
* Report and manage environmental metrics and KPIs, work collaboratively with plants to drive improvements in environmental performance and promote environmental policy to maximise performance against KPIs
* Analyse trends in environmental performance and take a leadership role in driving performance improvements
* Collaborate with the Operations team in the implementation of environmental procedures and requirements
* Ensure environmental risk management documentation is complete and maintained
* Manage internal environmental auditing to ensure site compliance standards are continuously met
* Contribute to the sites environmentally conscious culture and act as a role model in the implementation of the sites high environmental standards
* Act as the sites environmental Subject Matter Expert in the context of any changes in plant, processes, procedures or projects
* Support training on site in line with Environmental requirements
* Co-ordinate the roll-out of behavioural based Environmental training and environmentally conscious initiatives
* Drive business excellence methodologies in site environmental works and investigations
* Site representation in all environmental forums such as Environmental Leadership Forum, IBEC
* Adapting environmental standards and procedures in line with Tirlans Environmental & ESG strategy
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

* A third-level Science/Environmental qualification
* Good knowledge of standards (ISO 14001 and ISO50001 systems)
* Knowledge of local and national environmental legislation
* The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts
* Excellent organisational skills
* You must be self-reliant and able to work on your own initiative
* You should be computer literate
