Erris Coast Hotel is seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations Manager with a strong Food & Beverage background to join our management team.
This is a key leadership role, overseeing the day-to-day running of the hotel with particular responsibility for our restaurant, main bar, weddings, events, and accommodation, ensuring consistently high standards across the entire guest experience.
The Role
Working closely with the hotel director and department heads, the Operations Manager will play a vital role in the smooth operation of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily hotel operations including Food & Beverage and accommodation
* Manage and support the restaurant and main bar operations
* Lead, motivate, and develop front-of-house and F&B team
* Ensure excellent service standards and guest satisfaction
* Oversee weddings, functions, and events from setup through service delivery
* Manage staffing levels, rotas, and labour control
* Monitor stock control, ordering, margins, and wastage
* Ensure compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and licensing regulations
* Handle guest feedback and operational issues professionally
* Support training, onboarding, and performance management
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in an Operations Manager or senior F&B role within a hotel or high-volume hospitality environment
* Strong knowledge of restaurant and bar operations
* Experience overseeing accommodation operations is an advantage
* Experience with weddings and events is a strong advantage
* Confident, approachable leader with excellent people management skills
* Hands-on, organised, and solutions-focused
* Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and peak periods
