Job Summary
The Accommodation Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms and public areas are cleaned, maintained, and presented to the hotel's standards. This role plays a key part in delivering excellent guest experiences by providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards.
Make beds, replace linens, change towels, and restock guest amenities.
Clean bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitise all required surfaces.
Replenish minibar and in-room items where applicable.
Check rooms for maintenance issues (lights, A/C, plumbing) and report to the supervisor.
Ensure all cleaning is completed to a high standard and rooms meet inspection criteria.
Arrange furniture, linens, and guest items neatly and professionally.
Ensure trolleys and storage areas remain clean, tidy, and well‑stocked.
Greet guests politely and assist with simple requests.
Maintain professionalism and privacy at all times.
Handle found items according to the hotel's lost & found policy.
Report room status, issues, and stock needs to the supervisor.
Support colleagues during busy periods by sharing tasks.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
Good physical fitness; able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Basic communication skills and a positive attitude.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
