Job Description
The Information Security Analyst sits in the Information Security team and reports to the Information Security Officer. The role is responsible for driving the delivery of an organization‑wide Information Security Management System, collaborating with IT Operations and the InfoSec team to keep all parties updated on security‑related issues, and raising the awareness of security importance across Retail inMotion.
Job Requirements
Must have
* Demonstrated understanding of widely used encryption methods and their practical applications
* Strong grasp of networking and related diagnostic tools
* Comprehensive knowledge of the OSI Model and its relevance to network security
* Ability to explain complex technical concepts in straightforward language for non‑technical colleagues
* Pragmatic problem‑solving skills, focusing on implementing effective security solutions
* Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all security‑related tasks
* Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
* Understanding of widely recognised vulnerability scoring systems, such as CVSS
* Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
* Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices
Nice to have
* Demonstrable understanding of widely used information security frameworks and their daily application
* Sound knowledge of applicable legislation, such as GDPR, and its impact on organisational security practices
* Familiarity with industry‑specific standards, including PCI DSS, and experience ensuring compliance within these frameworks
* Proficiency in using command‑line interfaces across various operating systems for security and administrative tasks
* Hands‑on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly in securing cloud environments
* Experience in developing scripts or automating processes to enhance the efficiency and reliability of security operations
* Strong working knowledge of the Office 365 Security and Compliance Centre, with experience managing and maintaining secure cloud‑based collaboration tools
Job Responsibilities
* Support the Information Security Officer (ISO) in implementing and maintaining the organization‑wide Information Security Management System
* Assist the ISO in creating, updating, distributing, and training staff on information security policies and procedures
* Help the ISO coordinate and participate in PCI DSS and ISO 27001 security audits and related activities
* Monitor and analyse security alerts from vulnerability scanners, ensuring timely communication to relevant Retail inMotion personnel
* Keep the ISO and management informed about all security‑related matters
* Promote increased security awareness throughout Retail inMotion
* Work with the IT Operations team to triage and respond to security incidents and events
* Initiate investigations when there are suspicions or evidence of breaches of IT security regulations
* Assist the ISO in managing internal and external audits, handling non‑compliance issues
* Support the ISO in planning and managing information security projects
* Help the ISO develop and maintain business continuity management plans
* Conduct regular network vulnerability scans to identify and address potential security weaknesses
* Perform application vulnerability assessments to detect and remediate security flaws within software and web applications
* Demonstrate a solid understanding of widely used operating system platforms, including their security features and common vulnerabilities
* Possess knowledge of Android and iOS operating systems, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks specific to mobile devices
