Set up by the Bluestack Challenge Committee in 2006, the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation has as its core aim to "Enhance the Lives of People with Additional Needs".At the Bluestack Foundation we work with families who have dependents with physical, sensory, and intellectual, and psychological disabilities, regardless of whether the disability results in profound, moderate or mild additional needs. We also work with families who are pre-diagnosis but engaged in the assessment of needs process.The Community Services Programm is a social enterprise responsible for a number of income- generating projects within the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation this includes but is not limited to:* The Bluestack Shack Coffee Dock* Provision of Disability Awareness Training to Businesses and Community Groups* Room Rental with the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation building* Other Income Generating Initiatives to include Merchandising, selling of Products etc.AdministratorThe committee of 'The Bluestack Special Needs Foundation CLG' is committed to the ongoing development of services in support of people with disabilities, their families, and their carers. We are currently seeking a suitably qualified candidate for the role of 'Finance Administrator,' to support our ongoing development plans.The committee has secured funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development, administered by POBAL, to support the implementation of a Business Plan in support of the ongoing development of the facility and disability support services during the period The position currently being advertised is funded under the 'Community Services Programme.'Essential RequirementsA minimum of two-years previous administration experience.Experience using social media.Experience of working in a team environment.Flexible approach to work including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.A commitment to providing support services and to the social inclusion of people with disabilities.Experience of working in the disability sector.Familiarity with the hospitality industryDesirable RequirementsExperience of community engagement and development.Knowledge of the theoretical and policy landscape of the disability sectorExperience developing and delivering training programmesA third level qualification in a Disability relevant discipline.Experience of working within a community or social enterprise environment.Experience of working to support independent living and liaising with families and carers of people with disabilities.Please note that the CEO/Board reserves the right to enhance any of the role requirements as part of the shortlisting process.Hours: 37.5 Hours Per-week (pro rata)Probation: A 6-month minimum probation period will apply.Eligibility / Qualifying Criteria'The Bluestack Special Needs Foundation' is an Equal Opportunities Employer.Specific eligibility criteria apply in respect of the recruitment of a suitably qualified person for this position in accordance with guidelines for the operation of the Community Services Programme.To be eligible to apply for the position, suitably qualified candidates should first ensure that they are eligible to apply and meet the qualifying criteria appended hereafter.Eligibility / Qualifying Criteria - Community Services Programme (CSP)a. Person in receipt of Jobseeker's Benefit (JB), Jobseeker's Assistance (JA), one parent family payment (OPF), Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) or the Jobseeker TransitionalPaymentb. Persons in receipt of disability allowance (DA), invalidity pension, blind persons pension or other disability benefit.c. Travellers in receipt of Jobseeker's Benefit or Jobseeker's Assistance or one parent family benefit.d. Stabilised and recovering drug misusers. e. People employed from Tús, Gateway, Community Employment (CE) and Job Initiatives (JI) schemes are deemed eligible but cannot simultaneously hold a CSP and Tús / Gateway /CE/JI / RSS position. Former RSS workers who were previously CE participants are also eligible. f. Ex‐prisoners.Candidates will be required to complete at the time of recruitment a 'CSP Employment Eligibility Form', signed by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP), which will be retained by 'The Bluestack Special Needs Foundation' for all CSP employees, excluding:Recovering drug misusers and ex‐prisoners.
