Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Programmer/Operator to join our team in a customer-focused and continuous improvement environment. As a key member of our precision engineering team, you will be responsible for planning and performing work on a broad range of conventional, NC, and CNC equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

* Setting up and operating equipment to produce components that meet customer requirements.
* Participating in machine programming, including downloading, manual data input, debugging, and editing.
* Planning and organizing own work to facilitate multi-machine manning and monitoring additional machines during breaks.
* Performing ancillary tasks within the equipment cycle, such as checking, measuring, setting gauges, counting, deburring, stamping, etching, polishing, and pre-setting for the next jobs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Certificate/Diploma in an engineering discipline or sufficient experience to be considered competent for the role.
* 7-10 years working in a machine-oriented manufacturing environment.
* Experience on CNC machines is essential.
* Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal.
* Proactive, self-starter who can work independently without supervision.
* Ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple tasks.
* Positive attitude and be motivated by the role.
* Operates to the highest ethical and professional standards with a strong work ethic.

* Carry out acceptance tests on new/rebuilt equipment.
* Participate in visits to customers to solve tooling application problems.
* Contribute to the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement Programmes, Safety Programmes, and other initiatives.
* Record information necessary for the efficient running of the business and as dictated by customers.
* Attend meetings as requested by supervision/management and actively participate in assisting and training others.
