Electrical Estimator Position
Our company is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the tendering process for large-scale national and international projects, including those in data centres, life sciences, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the tendering process for large-scale national and international projects.
* Prepare accurate and detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and relevant documentation.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotations and ensure cost-effective solutions.
* Analyse tender documentation to prepare clarifications, queries, and value engineering proposals.
* Attend and participate in pre- and post-tender meetings and interviews.
* Manage the interface between the estimating department and other internal teams to ensure timely and accurate tender submissions.
* Conduct comprehensive handover meetings with the operations team upon successful award of projects.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience, ideally within an electrical contracting environment.
* Proven background in electrical estimating; experience with instrumentation or BMS systems is advantageous but not essential.
* A relevant third-level qualification in engineering, construction, or a related discipline.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills.
* High attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
