Job Title: Reinsurance Accountant Location: Dublin City Centre Working Model: Hybrid (2 Days in Office) A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join the Finance team as a Reinsurance Accountant. The role is focused on technical reinsurance accounting, working closely with colleagues across the business. This position is suited either to a qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience or to an individual with extensive technical reinsurance accounts expertise. Your Role: Manage day-to-day reinsurance accounting from cedants, including reconciliations and settlements. Assist in the month-end process, ensuring accurate reporting and deadlines are achieved. Prepare data and reports for management and external stakeholders. Maintain and strengthen reconciliations and financial control processes. Liaise with actuarial and underwriting teams to support cross-functional reporting. Respond to audit requests and contribute to regulatory submissions. Support planning, forecasting, and budgetary processes. Your Skills: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 2 years' PQE in insurance/reinsurance or audit of same OR minimum 6 years' hands-on experience in reinsurance technical accounting if not qualified. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven track record in managing reconciliations and technical accounts.
