Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced professional to manage our contracts and oversee the delivery of road maintenance services across Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating works to maximize efficiency and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Program and schedule works to optimize resource allocation.
* Coordinate project supervision and ensure preparation of construction stage health and safety plans.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits on temporary traffic management.
* Ensure communication of site inductions, methods statements, and safe systems of work.
* Liaise with operations managers to maintain proper record keeping and monitoring of quality control.
* Oversee the monitoring of surface dressing works and coordination of testing and sampling of emulsions and aggregates.
* Source approved suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance with procurement policies.
Managerial Responsibilities:
* Direct, manage, and lead contracting operations across Ireland.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and achieve zero targets for fatalities and LTIs.
* Meet annual revenue and margin deliverables as agreed with senior management.
* Grow market share in terms of revenue, tonnage, and products.
* Develop internal and external capabilities to deliver road maintenance services.
* Measure performance in productivity, quality, health and safety, costs, revenue, and asset management.
* Develop programs to improve production efficiency and contribute to tenders in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Level 8 degree in Civil or Constructional Engineering or equivalent industry recognized qualification.
* Up to 5 years prior leadership experience preferably in a road surfacing or contracting environment.
