About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and experienced Junior Project Manager to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will have a direct reporting line to the Contracts Manager and will be responsible for supervising the operational aspects of construction projects, ensuring efficient cost management and maximizing profitability.

The Project Manager plays a critical part in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while strictly adhering to Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Liaise with various staff and senior stakeholders, including Clients, Sub-contractors, Senior Engineer, Foreman, and Quantity Surveyor.
* Manage sub-contractors, engineering, and operational staff on site.
* Plan weekly work programmes and produce weekly reports on project progress.
* Oversee the site team to ensure key milestones are met.
* Manage the project design process while working alongside the commercial team.
* Work closely with the Contracts Manager and report progress to ensure the site programme aligns with budget and commercial objectives.
* Continuously reinforce the Health & Safety culture, striving for an accident-free site.
* Attend and chair weekly management meetings.
* Manage the complete day-to-day lifecycle of the project, from initial stages through to handover.

Requirements:

* Focused on achieving measurable outcomes and delivering results.
* A proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
* Strong commercial acumen and effective negotiation skills.
* Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required for business communication.
* Drive to take responsibility for exceeding targets.
* Demonstrates a solid understanding of financial principles and cost management.
* Possesses outstanding leadership abilities and the capacity to inspire and motivate others.
* Exhibits exceptional communication skills, fostering clear and effective interactions.
* Highly organised, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain efficiency.
* Technically proficient and skilled in operating and troubleshooting equipment.
* Excels in managing and developing teams, fostering a positive work environment.
* Creative and resourceful in solving complex problems.
